Lee Jung-mi "What Has the Yoon Administration Been Doing Until It Reached This State... Must Protest Against Japan's Contaminated Water Discharge"
"Pacific Ocean, Not a Sewer for Yoon-Kishida Nuclear Cartel"
As the Japanese government has decided to discharge contaminated water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant as early as the 24th, Lee Jeong-mi, leader of the Justice Party, raised her voice, saying, "What on earth has the government been doing until it reached this state?"
On the 22nd, Lee said on her Facebook, "Just a few days ago, at the trilateral summit between South Korea, the U.S., and Japan, we could have requested a postponement of the nuclear contaminated water ocean discharge and suggested considering other alternatives."

She added, "There were dozens of opportunities to say that the discharge must be stopped until the biological magnification and socioeconomic damage caused by the nuclear contaminated water are properly investigated."
Lee said, "President Yoon Seok-yeol deliberately remained silent, kicked away opportunities that could have stopped this, and chose the path of becoming a joint principal offender of the contaminated water discharge," and expressed "strong regret toward the Yoon Seok-yeol administration."
However, with two days left until the discharge, Lee urged, "Strongly protest to the Japanese government." She said, "Claim that there is a safe method of on-land storage instead of ocean discharge that can gain everyone's consent," and added, "If not, argue that not only the people of the Republic of Korea but also Pacific coastal countries affected by the contaminated water discharge will jointly file a lawsuit at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea."

Furthermore, she emphasized, "The Pacific Ocean is not a sewer for Prime Minister Kishida, President Yoon Seok-yeol, and the nuclear cartel," and stated, "The Justice Party will definitely stop this nuclear cartel that is obsessed only with expanding nuclear power plants and passing nuclear waste and contaminated water onto future generations."
