This year, 168 foreign-invested companies participated in the recruitment fair. At the Global Job Pavilion targeting overseas employment, 114 overseas companies conducted interviews and consultations aiming to hire about 1,000 people. Among them, 99 companies sent recruitment officers to Korea, while the remaining 15 companies met Korean job seekers through online video interviews. By country, Japan had the largest number with 66 companies, and there was also high demand for workers from developed countries such as the United States and Australia. In addition to 2,500 pre-arranged interviews, on-site arranged interviews were also conducted at this fair.
Foreign students studying in Korea sought employment opportunities through the Foreign International Students Recruitment Pavilion. The 100 Korean companies participating in the fair plan to recruit about 300 global talents with diverse cultures and capabilities to expand global business opportunities.
In addition to on-site and video interviews between employers and job seekers, various side events were held, including ▲employment lectures by seniors ▲resume and self-introduction letter consulting ▲introduction to international organization entry projects ▲one-on-one employment consulting (ID photo shooting, psychological counseling) ▲major countries’ employment strategy briefings ▲employment success story contest award ceremony ▲visa lectures. On-site, an award ceremony was held where Lee Kyung-sik, Director of KOTRA’s Foreign Investment, Domestic Return, and Talent Attraction Comprehensive Administrative Support Center, personally presented awards to the winners of the employment success story contest.
In particular, to expand participation of job seekers from provinces, pre-employment briefings were held in 10 provincial regions (Busan, Daegu·Gyeongbuk, Daejeon·Chungnam, Honam, etc.) to promote the fair and strengthen job seekers’ capabilities, and group participation of 11 provincial universities in the fair was supported.
