Taeyoung Construction Secures Priority Project Rights for Water Supply in Chittagong BSMSN Economic Zone, Bangladesh
Taeyoung Construction announced on the 21st that it has secured the priority business rights for the approximately $1 billion "Chittagong BSMSN Economic Zone Water Supply Project" in Bangladesh.
This achievement is evaluated to have been driven by advanced experience in constructing local water treatment facilities in Bangladesh. After building the Modunagat Water Purification Plant in 2019, Taeyoung Construction has been carrying out the Bandaljuri Water Supply Project (scheduled for completion at the end of August 2023) and the Chittagong Sewage Project (scheduled for completion in January 2027) to expand water and sewage facilities in Bangladesh.
In particular, the Chittagong water and sewage improvement project centered on the Modunagat Water Purification Plant was recognized for its excellence and was selected by the World Bank as the best project site in Southeast Asia. Accordingly, the Chittagong Water and Sewage Authority of Bangladesh also presented Taeyoung Construction with a plaque of appreciation.
With the award of the BSMSN Economic Zone Water Supply Project, Taeyoung Construction will be responsible for its fourth water and sewage treatment facility project in Bangladesh alone.
