CU Launches Exclusive Highball in Collaboration with 'Street Woman Fighter 2'
CU announced on the 21st that it will release the Street Woman Fighter 2 (hereinafter referred to as SwuPa2) highball in collaboration with the show, which will air on the 22nd of this month.
Street Woman Fighter is a real survival program featuring female dance crews on Mnet that sparked a nationwide dance syndrome in South Korea with its explosive popularity. The upcoming SwuPa2, airing on the 22nd, has already garnered significant attention from viewers as its trailer has become a hot topic on social media even before the broadcast began.
The SwuPa2 highball, exclusively launched by CU in the industry, comes in three varieties: whiskey, mojito, and blossom fizz highballs, each with an alcohol content of 8%. The price is 4,500 KRW per can, and you can purchase three cans for 12,000 KRW. Additionally, every Friday on CU Highball Day, there is a special promotion where four cans are sold for 12,000 KRW.
The SwuPa2 whiskey highball contains actual whiskey extract to preserve the authentic taste of a highball, while the mojito highball combines refreshing mojito and lemon-lime flavors for a heightened sense of refreshment. The blossom fizz highball is characterized by a harmonious blend of fragrant hibiscus flower scent and yuzu aroma.
CU collaborated with SwuPa2 on the highball because highballs, with an alcohol content below 10%, are especially popular among young female drinkers. In fact, an analysis of CU’s highball sales by gender from January to August this year showed that unlike other alcoholic beverages such as soju, beer, and whiskey, which have a higher purchase ratio among men, highballs were overwhelmingly favored by women at 77%, compared to 23% by men. Among these, women in their 20s (45%) and 30s (34%) from the MZ generation accounted for 80% of the total.
