Fire, Police, and Coast Guard 'One Team Jeju'... Joint Response to Emergency Calls
The Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters, an emergency response agency, is joining forces with the Jeju Police Agency and Jeju Coast Guard to protect the safety of residents.
The Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters announced on the 20th that it recently held a meeting with officials from the Jeju Police Agency and Jeju Coast Guard in the Fire Safety Headquarters conference room to strengthen cooperation among emergency response agencies.
Based on the integrated emergency call service established in July 2016, the three agencies are actively working together to respond to various disasters and accidents to safeguard the safety of residents.
At the meeting, aiming to realize 'One Team Jeju,' multifaceted discussions were held on the scope of work among agencies for responding to intoxicated or abnormal behavior individuals and natural disasters such as typhoons and heavy rains, as well as ways to strengthen the cooperative system to establish a stronger response foundation.
Additionally, opinions on difficulties encountered during joint response activities were heard, appreciation was expressed for the best efforts made in each field so far, and a commitment was made to further solidify collaboration to protect the safety of residents.
Kim Su-hwan, head of the Fire Safety Headquarters, said, “The roles performed by the fire department and police differ only in their duties, but both organizations move forward together to achieve the common goal of ‘protecting the safety of residents.’ We will continue to strive to make Jeju safer through close cooperation based on integration.”
