Continuing the Special Bond Between Jindo-gun and Wando-gun... Expecting Regional Economic Vitality
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 18th that Jindo-gun Fisheries Cooperative and Wando Soan Fisheries Cooperative have participated in mutual cross-donations to ensure the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation Program.
This mutual donation created an opportunity to support regional development by having Jindo-gun Fisheries Cooperative employees donate to Wando-gun, and Wando Soan Fisheries Cooperative employees donate to Jindo-gun.

Since February, Jindo-gun and Wando-gun have continued a relay donation starting with the mutual donations between Woo Hong-seop, Deputy Governor of Jindo-gun, and Woo Hong-chang, elder brother of the Administrative Team Leader of Wando-gun.
A representative of Jindo-gun Fisheries Cooperative said, “The Hometown Love Donation Program is a system that greatly helps regional development and the economy,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation Program.”
Governor Kim Hee-su stated, “I sincerely thank the cooperative heads and employees for participating in the Hometown Love Donation Program with their love for Jindo,” and continued, “I hope many will continue to take interest in the Hometown Love Donation Program, which leads regional development and revitalizes the local economy.”
The county plans to strengthen promotion of the Hometown Love Donation Program in cooperation with various institutions and organizations going forward.
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program, which has been in effect since January 1, allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their registered address. Donors receive a tax credit (full deduction up to 100,000 KRW) and a gift worth approximately 30% of the donation amount.
