Joeunhee "Mud Jamboree... Ministry of Gender Equality Incompetence, Jeonbuk Province Irresponsibility"
Assemblyman Yeo, YTN Radio Interview
"Why Does the Democratic Party 'Shield Kim Gwan-young'?"
Request for Kim Gwan-young, Governor of Jeonbuk, to Attend Current Issue Inquiry
Jo Eun-hee, a member of the People Power Party, criticized on the 17th regarding the disruption of the '2023 Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree' (Jamboree), stating, "The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, as the organizing committee chair, was incompetent, and Jeonbuk Province, as the executive committee chair, was irresponsible and there are suspicions of corruption."
Earlier, the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee's urgent inquiry, which was arranged to hold accountable for the Jamboree disruption and the flood disaster at the Osong underpass in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju, Chungbuk, ended in disruption on the 16th after a confrontation between the ruling and opposition parties over the attendance of Kim Kwan-young, Governor of Jeonbuk Province.
Regarding this, Rep. Jo said on YTN Radio's 'News King Park Ji-hoon' on the same day, "It is very disappointing why Governor Kim of Jeonbuk only appears unilaterally on broadcasts, and why the Democratic Party of Korea is shielding Kim Kwan-young."
Rep. Jo pointed out, "What the public is curious about is why the Osong flood disaster happened, what damage prevention measures the government will take in the future, and why the muddy Jamboree ended up like this. Governor Kim Young-hwan of Chungbuk was waiting, but Governor Kim Kwan-young of Jeonbuk did not come and only went around for press conferences and interviews."
Rep. Jo criticized, "Governor Kim of Jeonbuk is the executive committee chair of the Jamboree, but I do not understand why they say not to call the Jeonbuk governor who played a key role in preparing the Jamboree."
She then urged Governor Kim of Jeonbuk to attend the urgent inquiry. Rep. Jo said, "After analyzing the budget execution data for the infrastructure related to the Jamboree, Jeonbuk Province had not even spent half of the construction costs for the Jamboree's infrastructure seven months before the event started," adding, "That money was supposed to be used to build drainage facilities, shade shelters, and water and sewage facilities on site, but the construction was not completed even half a year before the event."

She continued, "The budget was executed by the organizing committee's Ministry of Gender Equality and Family to Jeonbuk Province three years ago, and Jeonbuk said the construction would take two years, but Jeonbuk started construction in June last year," adding, "Then they announced they would hold the event while construction was ongoing. I want to ask about that."
