Royal Canin Introduces 'Smart Reco', AI Nutrition Recommendation for Pets
Royal Canin announced on the 17th that it will introduce the AI-based personalized nutrition solution program for pets, ‘SMART RECO’, in Korea.
For the health of pets, it is important to provide nutrition according to various indicators and conditions such as life stage, size, weight, disease, and obesity level. Accordingly, Royal Canin headquarters developed SMART RECO, which combines half a century of nutritional knowledge with AI to instantly identify the optimal food among approximately 200 Royal Canin nutrition solutions with just one click.
SMART RECO analyzes the nutritional needs of pets by inputting profile information such as ▲species ▲size ▲age ▲neutering status ▲BCS (Body Condition Score: a physical condition index indicating obesity) ▲disease information. The AI prioritizes these needs and cross-matches them with Royal Canin’s nutrition solutions to suggest the most suitable Royal Canin products. Additionally, users can receive necessary information such as recommendations and daily feeding amounts in the form of a consultation log.
SMART RECO is available at nearby veterinary hospitals using Royal Canin’s veterinary-exclusive online nutrition platform, ‘Vet Service’.
