Starlight Walking Path Newly Created in Nakseongdae Park, Gwanak-gu
Providing a unique nighttime attraction for visitors through the maintenance of nightscape lighting on the Starlight Walkway in Nakseongdae Park
LED sculptures composed of ball lights and star structures... operating year-round from sunset until just before midnight
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) has newly renovated the 'Starlight Walkway,' where the night lighting in Nakseongdae Park shines beautifully.
The 'Starlight Walkway' is a roughly 50-meter-long path in Nakseongdae Park, connecting the Gang Gamchan Cafe to the Gang Gamchan Exhibition Hall. It is a popular spot for nighttime visitors due to the beautiful trees harmonizing with the subtle lighting.
The district removed and replaced the damaged facilities to prevent urban landscape deterioration caused by contamination and discoloration of the existing LED sculptures over time, as well as to avoid potential safety accidents from the aging LED sculptures.
The newly replaced LED sculptures feature lighting reminiscent of starlight (ball lights, star structures), emphasizing the meaning of the Starlight Walkway and blending harmoniously with the surrounding environment, enhancing the charm of the area.
Additionally, the 'Star Photo Zone' installed along the Starlight Walkway attracts the interest of local residents who take nighttime strolls.
The district expects that this renovation of the Starlight Walkway will provide a unique attraction for nighttime visitors to Nakseongdae Park while also contributing to the creation of a safe walking path.
The nightscape lighting operates year-round from sunset until just before midnight. For more details, please contact the Gwanak-gu Office's Culture, Tourism, and Sports Division.
