Anyang City to Conduct 'Public Hygiene Evaluation' for 1,865 Beauty and Barber Shops by October
Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a public hygiene service evaluation for local barber and beauty salons over two months from September to October.
This evaluation, conducted every two years by industry type to improve hygiene management levels and service quality, targets a total of 1,865 establishments, including 141 barber shops and 1,724 beauty salons within the city.
To ensure a fair evaluation, Anyang City formed an evaluation team consisting of public officials and honorary public hygiene inspectors from the private sector.
The evaluation team will inspect and verify 25 to 29 items by industry across three areas: general status, legal compliance, and recommended practices.
After the evaluation, establishments scoring 90 points or above out of 100 will be designated as top-tier establishments (Green Grade), those scoring between 80 and 89 as excellent establishments (Yellow Grade), and those below 80 as general establishments (White Grade). These ratings will be published on the city’s website.
