Gangseo-gu, Hygiene Consulting and Hygiene Supplies Support for Small Restaurants
Applications open until September 15 for small-scale restaurants under 50㎡
Experts conduct on-site consulting on ingredient management methods and compliance with the Food Sanitation Act
Gangseo-gu, Seoul, is implementing the ‘2023 Small-scale Restaurant Hygiene Consulting and Hygiene Supplies Support Project’ to create a healthy and safe dining culture environment.
This project aims to enhance business competitiveness by encouraging restaurant owners to practice voluntary hygiene management and improve safe food culture, while providing residents with safe food.
The support targets 100 small-scale general restaurants under 50㎡. Establishments exceeding this area, those specializing in alcoholic beverages, those that have received administrative sanctions within the past year, and those that participated in hygiene consulting in 2021 and 2022 are excluded from support.
Selected establishments will be visited by two consumer food hygiene inspectors from the district in pairs to provide consulting on ▲ hygienic management methods of ingredients ▲ proper use of food utensils, containers, and packaging ▲ key compliance items under the Food Sanitation Act.
Additionally, kitchen consulting and one-on-one customized education to improve the hygiene level of business owners will be conducted.
After completing the consulting, the district plans to provide participating businesses with hygiene supplies such as antibacterial dishcloths and antibacterial cutting boards.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested parties should send a text message with the business name, location, and representative’s name to the Hygiene Management Division’s dedicated mobile phone by September 15.
Consulting will be conducted sequentially from September 18 to October 6.
