Jo Joo-wan, President of LG Electronics, will attend Europe's largest motor show, 'IAA Mobility 2023,' to share the vision for the automotive components business. He is expected to introduce advanced automotive technologies that create new user experiences.
LG Electronics announced through its global newsroom on the 14th that President Jo will be a speaker at the press conference held on the main exhibition floor of IAA Mobility in Munich, Germany, on the 4th of next month (local time). They also announced that President Jo's speech will be live-streamed on the company's website.
IAA Mobility is an annual automotive event held in Germany and is known as one of the world's four major motor shows. It gathers global automakers, suppliers, and related stakeholders to share the latest technologies and design the future of mobility. This year, the main event will be held from the 5th to the 10th of next month, starting with the press conference on the 4th.
At this event, President Jo will introduce his thoughts on future vehicle experiences and the mobility ecosystem envisioned by LG under the theme "Life's Good on the Road." He plans to share the vision related to the automotive components business, which is considered a future growth engine. This is LG Electronics' first time attending the IAA Mobility press conference.
In a pre-interview posted on the IAA Mobility 2023 event website, President Jo previewed, "Through this event, we will unveil advanced technologies that promise unique and new user experiences on the road for the first time."
He also explained, "LG Electronics has so far focused on enhancing user experiences related to home appliances and services in customers' living spaces such as homes and workplaces. Going forward, the goal is to seamlessly connect all these experiences with vehicles." He expressed his ambition to "create new momentum in the mobility industry."

LG Electronics is growing future growth engines in the automotive components sector centered on three businesses: vehicle infotainment systems (VS Business Division), electric vehicle powertrains (LG Magna e-Powertrain), and vehicle lighting systems (ZKW). The company has set a goal to increase automotive components business sales to 20 trillion KRW by 2030 and become a top 10 global player.
