'Healing by walking on the Hwangto Trail' ... Seodaemun-gu opens 'Ansan Hwangto Trail' on the 17th
The trail is 450m long and 2m wide, equipped with foot-washing facilities, rest areas, and a Hwangto foot bath
Fog fountain facility installed to keep the Hwangto soil always moist
Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) will open the Hwangto Trail on Ansan (鞍山) Sanbok Road near the back gate of Yeonbuk Middle School in Yeonhui-dong at 11 a.m. on the 17th.
The 'Ansan Hwangto Trail' is 450 meters long and 2 meters wide, with foot-washing facilities and rest areas installed at both ends for comfortable use.
Unlike Hwangto trails in other areas, a fog fountain facility has been installed to keep the Hwangto soil always moist.
Additionally, a 'Hwangto foot bath' has been installed to provide a different kind of stimulation to the soles of the feet while walking on the trail.
To enhance user satisfaction, district officials visited Hwangto trails at Daejeon Gyejoksan, Dobong-gu Foot Park, Gangnam-gu Yangjaecheon Trail, and the Hwangto trail inside Gimpo Eco Healing Center.
The district filled the trail with a uniform mixture of masato (coarse sand) and Hwangto soil, and installed transverse drainage channels between the Hwangto trail sections to ensure good water drainage during rain and minimize soil erosion.
