Korea Ceramic Foundation to Host 'Ceramic Culture Experience Event' Starting from the 12th
The Korea Ceramic Foundation will hold a ceramic culture experience event.
On the 10th, the Korea Ceramic Foundation announced that it will participate in the Gyeonggi-do Cultural Seasons Summer Festival 'Let's Go Picnic,' held from the 12th to the 20th at the old Gyeonggi Provincial Office building in Paldal-gu, Suwon, and conduct a ceramic culture experience event with residents of the province.
'Gyeonggi-do Cultural Seasons' is a cultural and artistic festival held every season through cooperation between Gyeonggi-do, its affiliated public institutions, and local communities to realize one of the pledges of the 8th Gyeonggi-do administration, "Making culture, arts, and leisure a part of daily life in Gyeonggi."
It was planned to utilize the idle space created by the relocation of the office building to hold cultural and artistic events that residents can enjoy, while also revitalizing the local economy.
The Korea Ceramic Foundation plans to support cultural experiences for residents by holding excellent ceramic culture experience events at this festival and create work opportunities for participating ceramic artists through cooperative operations with workshops in the province.
The main events include ▲ 'Ceramic Wheel Experience,' where participants create various ceramic shapes using an electric wheel with ceramic artists and paint on the created vessels ▲ 'Ceramic Coiling Experience,' where participants make various ceramic forms by hand-rolling clay into round and long shapes and stacking and joining them without using a wheel ▲ 'Foundation SNS Subscription Event,' where participants can receive goods of the foundation’s mascot Toya as prizes. Notably, Toya will visit the event in person to communicate with residents and enjoy the summer picnic together.
