Jamboree participants from various countries, who left early to avoid the impact of the typhoon, are engaging in diverse Korean cultural experiences. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to actively support traditional cultural events and experience programs until the jamboree ends on the 13th.
On the 8th, about 900 British jamboree participants visited the Blue House. Some of them visited cultural infrastructure facilities such as the National Museum of Korea and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and many participants toured these cultural facilities individually. Twenty American participants visited the National Folk Museum, and twenty French participants visited the Museum of Korean History.

In cooperation with Incheon City, a museum viewing program linked with the Incheon City Tour is being provided. On the 8th, British participants visited the Incheon National Museum of World Writing Systems, which opened at the end of June. Production companies Live Co., Ltd. and Cultureholic Co., Ltd. will offer free viewing of the original musical “Taekwon, Fly Up,” themed on Taekwondo.
Efforts to strengthen experience programs continue. From the 10th, traditional cultural experience programs such as jegichagi (Korean shuttlecock kicking), tuho (arrow throwing), and mask making will be operated at the Blue House Sarangchae. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will also actively support multilingual guides for tourism in the Blue House area, including Bukchon and Seochon.
Additionally, a variety of programs such as temple stay bowl etiquette and tea ceremony experiences are prepared at 12 temples in the Seoul area, including Bongeunsa Temple.

Minister Park Bo-gyun said, “Due to the typhoon approaching after the heatwave, jamboree participants had to leave the site earlier than planned. We are designing various programs splendidly so that the remaining 40,000 participants can experience the charm and essence of K-culture before they return,” adding, “The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will provide well-organized support to create a dramatic turnaround.”
