Muan Police Conduct Patrols to Prevent Random Crimes in Crowded Areas
The Muan Police in Jeonnam (Chief Kim Jeong-wan) announced on the 7th that they are making every effort to ensure the safety of local residents by conducting special crime prevention patrols at densely populated facilities on the 6th to prevent random violent crimes such as street knife attacks.

About 40 personnel, including the police chief, the head of the safety department, the Crime Prevention Officer (CPO, administrative affairs), and patrol officers from branch police stations, participated in this special crime prevention patrol of densely populated facilities. They patrolled on foot and carried out visible safety activities to alleviate residents' anxiety, such as checking the operation status of crime prevention facilities, inspecting management conditions, and confirming the deployment of safety personnel.
Kim Jeong-wan, Chief of Muan Police Station, stated, “We have decided to strengthen the cooperation system with Muan County to prevent random violent crimes, and we will continue preventive activities for densely populated facilities and facilities protecting socially vulnerable groups within the jurisdiction to ensure the safety of residents.”
