Jung Jong-bok, Gijang County Governor, Launches Campaign to Promote Safety Culture Among All Residents
On the 4th at 2 p.m., Busan's Gijang-gun conducted a campaign at the Jangansa area to promote a safety culture among all residents.
This campaign was launched to coincide with the "August Safety Inspection Day" to create an atmosphere of safety culture movement and raise safety awareness among all residents for the prevention of various disasters such as heatwaves, earthquakes, and typhoons.
About 20 participants, including County Governor Jeong Jong-bok, the Gijang-gun Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group, and officials from Busan City and Gijang-gun, took part in the event. They distributed booklets on action guidelines for various disasters including heatwaves and promotional materials to residents and visitors at Jangansa.
In particular, with continuous heatwave warnings and record-breaking heatwaves, they emphasized the prevention of heat-related illnesses by advising sufficient hydration and refraining from outdoor activities during heatwave alerts. They also promoted strict prior preparation and adherence to water safety rules to prevent accidents during water play.
