Yangcheon-gu 'Find and Replace Storm Drain Campaign'
Yangcheon-gu Launches ‘Find and Replace Storm Drain Campaign’ with Residents
Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) announced that it will carry out the awareness campaign ‘Find and Replace Storm Drain’ until the end of this month to prevent illegal dumping of cigarette butts and other trash into storm drains, in collaboration with the Yangcheon-gu Volunteer Center, local environmental organizations, and residents.
The center has formed a volunteer group consisting of youth, environmental activists, and residents, who will receive preliminary environmental education before cleaning storm drains in the area. After removing trash inside the storm drains, volunteers plan to attach whale-shaped stickers in visible locations to convey messages discouraging illegal dumping.
