Boseong-Seoul Gangbuk 'Youth Exchange Camp' Successfully Concluded

A Platform for Youth Information Exchange and Local Culture Understanding
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on July 28 that it successfully concluded the ‘Boseong-gun and Seoul Gangbuk-gu Sisterhood Youth Exchange Camp’ with enthusiastic participation.
The youth exchange camp was held over three days and two nights from July 26 to 28, hosted by the Boseong Cultural Foundation and organized by the Boseong-gun Youth Culture House.
Boseong-gun planned this camp to provide a platform for information exchange among youth and to foster understanding of local culture, aiming to promote social skills through regional exchange and experiential learning.
Fourteen youths from Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, who use the Gangbuk Youth Center (Nanna Center), and fifteen youths from Boseong-gun participated, exploring the Boseong area and Suncheon region. Through specialty product experiences and recreational activities, the youths naturally interacted with each other.
In particular, they enjoyed various attractions and cultural experiences such as making Mireok Onggi pottery using local resources from Boseong-gun, mission trekking in the Daehan Tea Plantation green tea fields, tea ceremony experience at the Boseong Korean Tea Museum, seawater experience at the Yulpo Seawater Green Tea Center, and visiting the Suncheon Bay Garden Expo.
A student named Kim, who participated in the camp, said, “It was the most Boseong-like program, and I am leaving with joyful memories of sweating and bonding together in beautiful scenery.”
Jeon Tae-jin, director of the Boseong-gun Youth Culture House, said, “I hope this camp provided a meaningful time for the youths of Boseong-gun and Gangbuk-gu to better understand local culture and grow.” He added, “We will continue to offer various experiences so that our youths can broaden their horizons and grow up healthy.”
