G&Bs Eco Supplies Onsemi Zero-Liquid Discharge Scrubber... "Positive Signal for Semiconductor Industry Improvement"
G&B S Eco announced on the 1st that it will officially begin supplying zero-waste scrubbers worth 5 billion KRW to ON Semiconductor Korea starting this month.
G&B S Eco will supply zero-waste scrubbers, which treat harmful gases generated during the process without water usage or wastewater generation, to ON Semiconductor Korea's semiconductor process at the Bucheon FAB.
ON Semiconductor is the world's second-largest power semiconductor specialist company. G&B S Eco has been supplying eco-friendly process equipment for 12 years, even before ON Semiconductor changed its name. As ON Semiconductor is actively participating in achieving carbon zero, it is adopting 70-80% of G&B S Eco's zero-waste scrubbers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Based on this, ON Semiconductor has been selected for two consecutive years as one of the 'Top 100 ESG Companies' chosen by IBD, which targets U.S.-listed companies with a stock price above $10.
Despite the semiconductor industry's downturn, ON Semiconductor continues to maintain solid performance due to strong results in electric vehicle and automotive semiconductors. Riding this momentum, the company announced plans to invest 1.4 trillion KRW by 2025 to build a next-generation silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor factory and advanced research center in Bucheon City.
Recently, as global semiconductor companies such as Taiwan's TSMC, the world's largest foundry, and Samsung Electronics are actively expanding investments, G&B S Eco is expected to continue its growth in the semiconductor sector following its success in the solar power sector.

A company representative stated, "To expand new sales channels in the semiconductor sector, we plan to hold a meeting in mid-next month for the ON Semiconductor new FAB investment project in the Czech Republic and also visit fabless customers in Europe." They added, "While solar power orders continue to expand mainly in India, the U.S., and China, with semiconductor orders added, achieving triple-digit sales this year should be straightforward."
