Review of Relocation Site and Optimal Route, Preparation of Commercialization Plans and Alternatives
Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) announced on the 1st that it has commenced a service for reinitiating the Guro Vehicle Depot relocation project.
On the 28th of last month, the district held a kick-off meeting for the "Pre-feasibility Study Service on Basic Concept and Route Setting for Guro Vehicle Depot Relocation" at the Renaissance Hall of the district office.
This service aims to select the route and optimal site for relocating the Guro Vehicle Depot and to prepare alternatives such as commercialization plans, with a service period of 12 months.
Guro-gu plans to investigate and analyze the surrounding urban and transportation conditions, as well as national plans, and based on this, review optimal route alternatives to select candidate sites for the vehicle depot relocation.
The specific contents include ▲analysis of basic data and investigation of local conditions ▲review of related plans and traffic demand forecasting ▲review of relocation site and optimal route for Guro Vehicle Depot ▲review of development plans for existing and new vehicle depots ▲economic and financial analysis, among others.
Based on the service results, the district plans to actively request the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to reflect the Guro Vehicle Depot relocation project in the 5th National Railway Network Construction Plan.
Additionally, for vehicle depots relocated to other local governments, the district proposes a "Railway Integrated Complex Center" where commercial, cultural, and residential functions coexist, aiming to change perceptions and paradigms regarding vehicle depots.
