'Summer Essential Airtight Containers' Keep Fresh Even in Heatwaves
Maintains Food Freshness with Antibacterial and Antifungal Effects
Eco-friendly, Reduces Ingredient Costs, and Semi-permanent Use
As daytime temperatures continue to soar above 33 degrees Celsius, interest in containers that can keep food fresh is also increasing. On the 31st, Aol Korea, a company specializing in antibacterial and dehumidifying products, announced that inquiries about their fresh-keeping container 'Mofresh' have recently surged.
Mofresh uses a new material called 'MOF (Metal Organic Framework)' that inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold, allowing food to be stored fresh. It is described as a functional product that can be used with confidence regarding safety aspects such as radon detection, heat resistance, and cold resistance.
In particular, Mofresh's advantage is its longer preservation period compared to competing products. In freshness tests conducted by the global certification body SGS, the preservation period for commonly consumed vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes, lettuce, bananas, strawberries, and mushrooms was found to be extended by 7 to 14 days compared to other containers. Extending the freshness period of food can reduce wasted ingredients in this era of high prices, and reducing food waste also benefits the environment.
Mofresh uses natural pigments and is suitable for use in microwaves, dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers. It also comes in a variety of sizes, from small 300ml freezer containers to large 17,700ml storage boxes. As a result, the user age range has recently expanded from housewives in their 30s to 50s to include single-person households.
