Ascendio Signs Business Agreement with KBS, Suunjapbang Research Institute, and Gyeongbuk Content Agency
Ascendio announced on the 31st that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KBS, Suun Japbang Research Institute, and the Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation Content Promotion Agency.
Through this agreement, Ascendio will plan and produce the KBS TV Cinema "Suun Japbang."
"TV Cinema - Suun Japbang" is a historical cooking drama based on a cookbook from the Joseon Dynasty that documented recipes and methods for brewing alcohol. The work won the grand prize at the Gyeongsangbuk-do Cultural Content Promotion Agency's video content scenario contest.
Notably, it is one of the projects supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency for producing specialized content for online video services (OTT), making it highly significant.

An Ascendio representative stated, "Suun Japbang is a meaningful traditional heritage that focuses on food therapy (食治), the practice of treating illnesses with food during the early Joseon period when medicine was scarce. We are pleased to produce a meaningful work that should be passed down to our generation." They added, "Through this MOU, we plan to maintain continuous cooperation and contribute to revitalizing the cultural economy involving public institutions, local governments, and companies."
