Gwangju Dongbu Police Station Conducts Outreach for At-Risk Youth
The Gwangju Dongbu Police Station conducted youth guidance activities during the summer vacation.
Recently, Dongbu Station carried out an 'outreach' activity in collaboration with related organizations such as the Chungjang-ro Youth Life Design Center area, youth shelters, youth counseling welfare centers, and youth advisory groups.
Outreach refers to the early identification of out-of-school and out-of-home youth to guide and protect them from falling into harmful environments.
At the site, various consultations were conducted for youth regarding school violence and peer relationships, and support was provided to connect youth in urgent need of protection to shelters.
Preventive patrols were also conducted focusing on areas vulnerable to youth delinquency such as drug use, drinking, and smoking.
