Operating Shared Offices in Busan and Seoul
Pukyong National University has embarked on a project to discover and commercialize promising technologies from universities and startups.
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Pukyong National University (Director Oh Jeong-hwan) recently announced on the 29th that it signed a business agreement with Darae Strategic Commercialization Center Co., Ltd. (CEOs Bae Soon-gu and Kim Jeong-guk) to commercialize promising technologies from universities and startups.
Through this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate in discovering promising technologies and promoting commercialization, and will operate shared offices for technology commercialization in Nam-gu, Busan, and Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where each organization is located, to facilitate exchange and cooperation.

Recently, it was selected as an operator of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) and Seoul-type TIPS (Seoul-type Private Investment-linked Technology Commercialization Support Project).
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Pukyong National University and Darae Strategic Commercialization Center Co., Ltd. plan to focus on revitalizing technology commercialization by starting with the operation of shared offices and holding a startup talk concert on August 22.
They also plan to jointly establish technology transfer and commercialization strategies by reviewing the potential of technologies owned by the university, providing lab consulting, and technology IR consulting.

Oh Jeong-hwan, Vice President for External Affairs and Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation at Pukyong National University, said, “This agreement will lay the foundation for sharing the university’s excellent technologies and jointly establish technology transfer and commercialization strategies,” adding, “We expect this to be an opportunity for the co-growth of regional industries and the university, and for growing into a glocal university through industry-academic cooperation.”
