National Library of Korea Announces Digital Content Contest Using Library Data
The National Library of Korea under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold the 'National Library of Korea Data Utilization Content Creation Contest' from August 1 to November 10. The contest invites digital content created using library data, such as visualization dashboards, images, videos, webtoons, animations, VR, and AR games. Anyone, individually or as a group, can apply. A total of seven works will be selected and awarded the Director of the National Library of Korea Award and the Korea Creative Content Agency Award.
To aid understanding, a pre-briefing session will be held both online and offline on August 17. The session will introduce data held by the National Library of Korea and various domestic and international digital content cases utilizing library data, followed by a Q&A session. Applications for participation are open from August 1 to 15.

Kim Su-jeong, Head of the Digital Information Planning Division at the National Library of Korea, stated, “We will discover interesting and creative content that combines library data with new technologies to enhance its utilization value and establish it as a new resource of the library that anyone can enjoy and use.”
