Glam, Asia's First Participant in NEOM Exhibition... Targeting the 170km Glass-Walled City 'The Line'
Glam announced on the 27th that it participated in the "Discover NEOM in Seoul" exhibition held at Dongdaemun DDP Art Hall until the 3rd of next month, showcasing a large transparent glass media facade.
Discover NEOM is the first NEOM City exhibition held in Asia, jointly hosted by Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Nadmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, as well as leaders from NEOM regions such as The Line, Shindala, Trojena, and Oxagon visited Korea to introduce NEOM City's vision and strategic goals.
Glam was selected as one of the eight companies likely to participate in future NEOM projects, including Hyundai Elevator and Naver, and took part in the exhibition. Through the exhibition, Glam operated a promotional booth and directly unveiled a large transparent glass media facade. The media can be implemented in various ways on the interior and exterior of The Line, a massive glass wall city and residential complex in NEOM with a total length of 170 km and a height of 500 m. Glam held one-on-one meetings with NEOM to discuss specific business agreements.
According to the company, NEOM showed great interest in Glam’s approximately 1,500-pyeong (about 4,958 square meters) transparent glass media glass project in Doha, the world's largest of its kind. Last year, Glam installed transparent media glass on the exterior wall of a large general hospital in Doha, the capital of Qatar, for the FIFA World Cup.
Jung Young-hoon, Glam’s Chief Business Officer, said, "This exhibition was a great opportunity to directly introduce the characteristics of G-Glass, suitable for glass wall cities, to the NEOM CEO and top executives," adding, "We agreed to further concretize the business through additional meetings in Saudi Arabia."
