Gyeonggi Fire Department and Korea Transportation Safety Authority Sign MOU to Strengthen Large Fire Truck Driving Skills
On the 26th, the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters signed a business agreement with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority regarding large fire truck driver training and related matters.
View original imageThe Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters has partnered with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority Hwaseong Traffic Safety Experience Education Center to enhance firefighters' driving skills for large fire trucks.
On the 27th, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that on the 26th, it signed a business agreement with the Hwaseong Traffic Safety Experience Education Center to provide fire officials who will operate new or large fire trucks with driving techniques in various environments.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will gradually expand the types of vehicles used for practical training and the number of trainees. Currently, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters has conducted large vehicle operation training for about 60 fire officials through the Hwaseong Traffic Safety Experience Education Center.
In particular, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters plans to donate eight retired fire aerial ladder trucks, used for more than 12 years, to the Hwaseong Traffic Safety Experience Education Center free of charge to be used for training purposes.

Park Jeong-hoon, the Accounting and Equipment Officer of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "Through this agreement, we have resolved both the technical theory and practical operation of large vehicles at one of the nation's leading traffic safety institutions," adding, "Through this training, we will respond more quickly and safely to disaster sites and firmly protect the safety of the residents."
