LG Uplus announced on the 26th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with "VD Company," the No.1 serving robot company in the domestic market, to digitally transform the Korean food service industry, and launched its first collaborative product, the "U+ Serving Robot PuduBot." The goal is to strengthen business competitiveness by establishing a diverse robot lineup to solidify its position in the serving robot market and leveraging the accumulated capabilities of both companies in serving robot distribution and service sectors. VD Company has maintained its industry-leading position since its establishment in 2019.

Equipped with a large tray, it can serve a dozen side dishes and meals for four people without difficulty. In particular, PuduBot is linked with unmanned and automation solutions, enabling full store automation from menu ordering to dish clearing.

Through this collaboration, LG Uplus plans to provide an integrated DX solution to revolutionize the store operation experience for SOHO customers. They intend to launch a package product that combines serving robots, communication products exclusively for small business owners, CCTV, and store automation solutions into one. Janghyuk Lim, Head of LG Uplus Corporate New Business Group (Executive Director), said, "By promoting business cooperation with VD Company, which holds an overwhelming market share in the serving robot market, we expect LG Uplus to establish an early foothold in the robot market. We will create a platform that can integrate and operate high-performance robots, communication, and various solutions, thereby innovating the experience value for SOHO customers and consumers."
