Anyang City Selects 50 Members for Public-Private Cooperation Committee... First Regular Meeting to Be Held Next Month

View original imageThe 'Public-Private Cooperation Committee' in Anyang City, Gyeonggi Province, has been launched.
On the 24th at 5 p.m., Anyang City held an appointment ceremony for the Public-Private Cooperation Committee in the meeting room on the 4th floor of Anyang City Hall, and announced on the 25th that appointment letters were delivered to 50 committee members.
The committee members will work for two years in four subcommittees: cooperative growth, inclusive society, balanced development, and green city. They will also collect opinions through investigations, research, seminars, and discussions, and provide advice on pledge implementation and major policies.
The policies developed in each subcommittee will be actively reflected in city administration through coordination with the heads of departments and offices.
On the same day, the committee members signed a pledge to prevent conflicts of interest and practice integrity, and plan to expand engagement with citizens through future public-private cooperation forums and education.
The committee will hold its '1st Regular Meeting' on the 25th of next month, elect the chairperson, vice-chairperson, and subcommittee heads, and discuss the selection of topics for the second half forums and major projects for 2024.
Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang said, "Public-private cooperation has been a core value and symbol of administration continuously pursued since my first term as mayor," adding, "I believe the Public-Private Cooperation Committee will produce significant outcomes based on the achievements accumulated by the previous Citizen Participation Committee."

Earlier, in May, Anyang City abolished the existing 'Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Citizen Participation Committee' and promulgated the expanded 'Basic Ordinance for the Activation of Public-Private Cooperation in Anyang City.'
