On the 25th, Socar and Naver announced that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to pursue comprehensive cooperation in AI, mobility, cloud, and other areas based on the technologies and know-how each company possesses. This agreement is the result of their commitment and efforts to provide users with convenient and smart mobility services, focusing on diversifying mobility usage channels and utilizing AI technology.
Going forward, the two companies will promote all-around business cooperation with the goals of ▲enhancing user convenience ▲utilizing AI technology ▲strengthening stability and efficiency ▲providing various mobility services, in collaboration with Naver Map, Naver Travel, HyperCLOVA X, Naver Navigation, and others.
First, to improve user convenience, they plan to provide users with convenient and seamless mobility services by leveraging Naver Map. The channel will be linked so that Socar reservations can be made immediately after completing KTX reservations within the Naver Map app. Additionally, parking tickets for Modu's Parking Lot will be made easily purchasable through Naver Reservation.
Socar will also advance its services by utilizing Naver’s new large-scale AI, HyperCLOVA X. Based on effective data accumulated over the past 12 years from operating and managing about 20,000 vehicles nationwide in a contactless manner, Socar plans to build an AI customer response system using large-scale AI and enhance recommendation and reservation functions. Furthermore, they plan to establish a stable and scalable IT infrastructure by leveraging Naver’s cloud technology.
They will also offer linked services that add Socar benefits to Naver Travel’s membership program, N Travel Club. Various discount benefits will be provided according to users’ N Travel Club membership levels.
Jaeuk Park, CEO of Socar, said, “Through this cooperation, a foundation has been laid for Socar and Naver to lead innovation together and create the future of mobility services.” He added, “Both companies believe in the power of AI and technology and will do their best to provide users with a more convenient and smart mobility ecosystem.”
