Seven Eleven Introduces ChatGPT in 'Seven App' to "Strengthen Communication with Franchise Stores"
Convenience store 7-Eleven announced on the 25th that it has improved the system of its mobile app ‘Seven App’ to enhance store operation efficiency and activate communication with franchisees. This is the first achievement of the ‘Next Generation Project.’
7-Eleven introduced ‘GPTBuni,’ an AI chatbot exclusively for store owners, by integrating the conversational AI ‘Chat-GPT’ into the chatbot menu of the Seven App.
While the previous ‘Chatbot Buni’ used by store owners could only respond based on predefined logic, GPTBuni can provide desired answers to similar expressions through synonym learning, allowing for more accurate and detailed information verification. Additionally, whereas previously the process of finding answers to store owners’ inquiries was divided into 2-3 steps, GPTBuni offers immediate answers in one go.
Currently in its first development phase, GPTBuni provides answers to questions about key service functions such as delivery, pickup, last order, and smart pick. After approximately three months of test operation, the system will be enhanced to handle questions covering overall operations.
7-Eleven also launched ‘BuniTalk,’ a communication chatroom between franchise store owners and head office staff responsible for store management. Store owners can create a ‘BuniTalk’ chat window to communicate in real time with the assigned head office staff in a safer and freer environment regarding various inquiries, consulting, and information sharing related to store operations. Within this year, 7-Eleven plans to develop a direct communication system between consumers and franchise stores in addition to the chat service between store owners and the head office.
The chatbot service used by customers has also been partially enhanced. The customer chatbot menu in the Seven App has mainly been used to check information on products, services, marketing, and promotional events, and now the ‘Find Products in My Neighborhood’ feature has been integrated.
