'Work Experience and Regular Employment at Once'... Gyeonggi Youth Job Matchup 3rd Recruitment
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation are recruiting the 3rd round of participants for the 'Gyeonggi Youth Job Matchup' project, which connects job-seeking youth with excellent small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and supports their transition to full-time employment, from the 26th of this month until the 11th of next month.
This project operates by having youth job seekers work (gain job experience) at matched companies for three months, after which the companies conduct their own evaluations to hire the individuals as full-time employees.
Gyeonggi Province supports the companies by covering the monthly labor cost of 2.4 million KRW for the three-month period. Additionally, youth connected to companies receive basic pre-employment training such as business manners and labor law education, workplace adaptation consulting, and customized competency enhancement programs utilizing the JobKorea Learning Center.
To encourage long-term retention of participants, since the 2nd round of company recruitment, Gyeonggi Province has selected youth-preferred companies by reflecting factors that youth prioritize when choosing companies, such as employment stability, work-life balance (WLB), and welfare benefits.
An Chi-kwon, Director of the Job and Economic Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Going forward, Gyeonggi Province will take the lead in resolving the job supply-demand imbalance (mismatch) problem through systematic project support, including securing excellent youth talent, strengthening youth-company connections, and providing customized job information."
Youth job seekers aged 18 to 39 residing in Gyeonggi Province who wish to participate can apply through the online job matching platforms JobKorea and Jobaba by the 11th of next month.
