Gyeonggi Province set up the Paran31 Matson Cafe on one truck and one bus, traveling across all 31 cities and counties in the northern and southern parts of Gyeonggi to handle various civil complaints and receive requests such as "Wishes to the Governor."
From June 23 to July 22, over the course of one month, a total of 2,250 residents visited the Matson Cafe, submitting 1,265 "Wishes to the Governor" and 50 complaints through the National Petition System.
On the 24th, Governor Kim Dong-yeon held a tea meeting with the staff who worked hard to operate the Matson Cafe for a month and encouraged them. The staff collected the complaints received from residents in a complaint box named "Opportunity Box" and delivered them.
At this meeting, Governor Kim Dong-yeon randomly selected and read complaints from the complaint box.
The complaint box contained various voices from residents, including ▲ "The opportunity income for artists is a perfect policy for my friends who paint. Please actively promote it so that more artists can have more opportunities," ▲ "I think the visiting civil service is a very meaningful and valuable event as it brings administrative services closer to citizens," and ▲ "Please expand low-floor buses in Gyeonggi cities to make it easier for the disabled and elderly to travel."
Governor Kim Dong-yeon strongly agreed with the staff's opinion that "It was meaningful to practice a policy of going out to communicate rather than just waiting for residents to come," and added, "There may be complainants who cannot use the internet or are not familiar with how to use it when submitting complaints, so it would be good for us to actively step in and help with that."
