Strengthening Local Youth Employment Competencies... Silla University Hosts 'ESG Management Academy'
Shilla University’s University Job Plus Center and the ESG Management Research Institute have concluded the ‘ESG Management Academy’ aimed at strengthening employment capabilities for local youth.
On the 22nd, Shilla University’s University Job Plus Center and the ESG Management Research Institute, in collaboration with the Korea ESG Committee’s Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (BUKG) Committee, recruited about 40 local university students and young people to offer the ‘ESG Management Academy’ free of charge to enhance local youth employment capabilities.
The event, held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., covered ▲carbon neutrality and the climate crisis ▲domestic and international cases of ESG management ▲current status of ESG management interviews ▲practical mock interviews, helping young job seekers understand the latest trends in ESG management and providing Q&A sessions to suggest ways to apply this knowledge in the employment field.

One student who participated in the program shared, “It was a great opportunity to learn not only about ESG management but also the know-how regarding the type of talent companies seek, from interviewers with diverse experience in the corporate field.”
Jang Hee-jung, Director of Shilla University’s University Job Plus Center, and Kim Seong-geun, Director of the ESG Management Research Institute, explained, “Interest in environmental issues is higher than ever, and ESG management is emerging as a key topic for companies aiming to become sustainable.”

They added, “With the increase in hiring related to ESG, we jointly planned this program to assist young people in preparing for employment. We will continue to actively support the successful employment of local youth through collaboration.”
