Geumcheon-gu Selects Outstanding Volunteers for the 2nd Quarter
Volunteers with the highest cumulative service hours in Volunteer Camps, Clubs, Adults, and Youth categories selected
Presentation of personalized volunteer activity vests and plaques
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) held a "Plaque and Personalized Volunteer Activity Vest Presentation Ceremony" on the 21st to promote volunteer activities by recognizing outstanding volunteers for the 2nd quarter.
The personalized volunteer activity vests were embroidered with the volunteers' names to enhance their pride.
Geumcheon-gu divided registered residents at the Volunteer Center into four categories: ▲Volunteer Camps ▲Volunteer Clubs ▲General Adults ▲Youth, and selected outstanding volunteers based on the highest cumulative volunteer hours from April to June.
By category, Kang Eun-hyang was selected for Volunteer Camps, Jeon Sun-pyo for Volunteer Clubs, Jo Young-bae for General Adults, and Jo Su-a for Youth.
Resident Kang Eun-hyang has been volunteering as a rainwater catcher guardian, providing hair dyeing services for seniors, caring for elderly living alone, and delivering goods. Resident Jeon Sun-pyo participates in "Ssedam Running" (plogging), caring for and taking elderly living alone on outings, and inspecting visible fire extinguisher boxes.
Resident Jo Young-bae has contributed through environmental cleanup, reinforcing hiking trail facilities, and protecting bamboo groves campaigns. Resident Jo Su-a has contributed to the community through youth human rights promotion, youth first aid awareness, and youth non-violence campaign activities.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, "This event was organized to honor the efforts of those working behind the scenes. Starting in November, we will issue the 'Geumcheon-style Outstanding Volunteer Certificate' to those who volunteer more than 100 hours annually, providing special incentives such as discounts on public facility usage fees. We will continue to strive to promote volunteer activities."
