SK Broadband announced on the 21st that it has appointed Park Jin-hyo, former CEO of SK Shieldus (pictured), as its new CEO.
Park, the new CEO, is a technology expert who has worked at SK Telecom for over 20 years. He served as the head of SK Telecom's Network Technology Institute and later as the head of the ICT Technology Center as well as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Since 2020, he has been serving as the CEO of SK Shieldus, and SK Broadband described him as a management expert capable of driving convergence in new platform-based businesses across telecommunications, media, and security sectors.
SK Broadband stated, "His management capabilities have been proven by leading SK Shieldus to grow its sales and profits, and by successfully selling SK Shieldus to EQT Partners, prompting a group-level personnel appointment."

Park is expected to be officially appointed after the shareholders' meeting and board of directors meeting at the end of next month.
