They reduced three strokes in the front nine with 'stepping stone birdies' on holes 2 and 4 and a birdie on the 9th hole (par 4), and added birdies consecutively on holes 11 and 12 and also on holes 15 and 18 in the back nine. They are six strokes behind the leader. Im Hiyang has two wins, at the 2014 Mizuno Classic and the 2017 Scottish Women's Open. Lee Jeong-eun 5 debuted on the U.S. stage in 2015 but has yet to win.
Paula Reto (South Africa) and Amelia Lewis (USA) posted 9-under par to take the top of the leaderboard (14-under 126). Jodi Ewart Shadoff (England) and Emma Talley (USA) surged to a tie for 2nd place (13-under 127) with a daily best 10-under par. The group also includes Matilda Castren (Finland) and Kelly Tan (Malaysia), who were leaders the previous day. C?line Boutier (France) and Saso Yuka (Japan) are positioned 4th (12-under 128).

Joo Soo-bin and No Ye-rim (USA) are tied for 13th, and Kang Hye-ji and Tiffany Chan (Hong Kong) advanced to the third round tied for 22nd (5-under 135).
