1198 Riot Police Deployed for Flood Recovery Over 2 Days
The Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency (Commissioner General Kang Hwang-soo) has been working tirelessly in the flood recovery areas in the Jeonbuk region.
According to the Provincial Police Agency on the 20th, the previous day, about 600 personnel from 9 mobile units were deployed to 34 locations including flooded houses in Napo-myeon, Gunsan City, and Yeosan-myeon, Iksan City, carrying out tasks such as organizing household items and removing oil and soil.

Following this, on the 20th, the police deployed about 580 personnel from 9 mobile units, including those from the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency and Incheon Police Agency, to four areas affected by heavy rain: Seongdang-myeon, Iksan City; Napo-myeon, Gunsan City; Dojang-dong, Gimje City; and Samnye-eup, Wanju. They conducted recovery work such as drainage maintenance, livestock barn restoration, and soil removal.
Commissioner Kang stated, “We will focus the police’s capabilities on supporting flood recovery to ensure the safety of residents and the swift restoration of daily life.”
