Jinju City Conducts Integrity Training for Senior Officials

Anti-Corruption and Integrity Laws and Case Studies Training
On the 19th, Jinju City in Gyeongnam conducted integrity training for senior public officials at the city hall's citizen hall.
This training was organized to strengthen the integrity commitment of senior officials who play a pivotal role in building a prosperous Jinju and to establish a clean and trustworthy image of public officials. Bae Jeong-ae, a specialist instructor from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Institute, was invited to provide education on anti-corruption and integrity laws and cases under the theme "The Leader's Victory or Defeat is Integrity."
Additionally, to improve organizational culture and eradicate power abuse in the public sector, the training included education on the code of conduct for public officials, including prevention of power abuse, encouraging senior officials to take the lead in fostering a communicative public service culture.
Mayor Cho Gyu-il, who attended the training, stated, "As public officials, recognizing integrity (公廉) as the greatest virtue is essential, and I hope this training serves as an opportunity to elevate the level of integrity toward a trustworthy public service society. At this critical time when we must achieve major outcomes through citizens' trust and cooperation, senior officials must take the lead in preemptively blocking factors that cause corruption."

Meanwhile, Jinju City has completed integrity training for senior officials at grade 5 and above as well as grade 6 employees this year, and plans to continue the training for employees at grade 7 and below.
