High-Ranking Public Officials Declare Integrity Commitment and Promote Efforts to Improve Corruption-Prone Areas
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) held the 1st meeting of the 'Dongdaemun-gu Anti-Corruption and Integrity Promotion Council' on the morning of the 17th in the mayor’s office to establish a foundation for anti-corruption and integrity promotion.
The Dongdaemun-gu Anti-Corruption and Integrity Promotion Council consists of a total of 10 ex officio members, including the chairman (mayor), the vice mayor, and executives at grade 4 or higher.
Dongdaemun-gu stated that the council will serve as a driving force to secure momentum for improving integrity by sharing and reviewing integrity policies and discovering improvement measures for corruption-prone areas.
The 1st meeting was conducted with discussions on ▲ analysis of the 2022 integrity evaluation results ▲ 2023 anti-corruption and integrity policy implementation plans ▲ discussions and collection of opinions on improvement measures for corruption-prone areas.
Going forward, the council plans to continuously hold regular meetings to focus on various integrity activities, including monitoring the progress of anti-corruption and integrity policies.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “Senior public officials will take the lead in doing their best to create an integrity-driven Dongdaemun-gu,” and added, “We will further expand efforts to establish an integrity culture in the public sector to implement governance that residents empathize with and trust.”

Dongdaemun-gu is promoting various projects to foster an anti-corruption and integrity culture, such as anti-corruption and integrity education for all employees and operating Integrity Day every month.
