Bando Cultural Foundation Chairman Kwon Hong-sa Donates 100 Million Won for Flood Victims
Bando Cultural Foundation announced on the 18th that it will donate 100 million KRW in relief funds for flood victims who suffered significant damage mainly in Chungcheongnam-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, and Gyeongsangbuk-do.
The donated funds will be channeled through the 2023 flood relief fundraising organization, 'Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association,' and will be used to help flood victims who lost their homes due to the sudden heavy rains to return to their daily lives as soon as possible by providing housing, restoring damaged buildings, supporting living expenses, and supplying relief goods.
Kwon Hong-sa, Chairman of Bando Cultural Foundation, expressed, “We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the flood victims affected by the unexpected heavy rains, and we hope they can return to a stable daily life as soon as possible.” He added, “We hope that this donation from Bando Cultural Foundation will provide some support to the flood victims and local small business owners who are going through difficulties.”
Meanwhile, Bando Cultural Foundation practices shared growth with local communities by supporting disaster victims and marginalized groups during national crises such as floods, wildfires, earthquakes, and COVID-19 outbreaks, helping to overcome difficult economic situations through donation management.

The foundation has continuously participated in national disaster relief efforts, including donating 100 million KRW for the 2019 Gangwon-do wildfire damage, 200 million KRW for COVID-19 support in 2020, 100 million KRW for flood victims during the monsoon season, and 200 million KRW for the 2022 Uljin and Samcheok wildfire damage. In addition, in connection with Bando Construction, since 2017, it has annually donated 100 million KRW to the Construction Industry Social Contribution Foundation to support medical and living expenses for construction disaster workers.
