Professor Seo Ryeo-kyung (31, Department of Pediatrics) at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital, also known as "the best fighter among active female doctors," became the KBM Women's Light Flyweight Korean Champion in professional boxing just three years after her debut.
According to Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital on the 16th, Professor Seo won the championship belt at the "KBM 3rd Korean Title Match" held at the Seoul Textile Center Event Hall on the 14th.
In the women's light flyweight championship match, Professor Seo defeated competitor Lim Chan-mi by TKO at 38 seconds into the 8th round, bringing her overall record to 7 fights with 6 wins (4 KOs) and 1 draw.
Professor Seo began boxing in 2019 and made her professional debut in November 2020. It is known that she started boxing to relieve the stress accumulated from working long hours in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Last year, through the YouTube channel "SBS News," she revealed, "I have always liked exercising and drinking, and a professor I used to drink with recommended boxing, saying I would be good at it, so I joined a gym."
