‘NBA superstar’ Stephen Curry (USA, Golden State) turned the game around with an eagle on the 18th hole (par 5).
On the 16th (Korean time), Curry scored 25 points in the final 3rd round of the American Century Championship (total prize money $600,000), a tournament where celebrities compete in golf skills, held at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course (par 72, 6,709 yards) in Stateline, Nevada, USA, securing a 2-point victory with a total score of 75 points. Although Curry did not reach the top in the 2022-2023 NBA season, he moved to the field and claimed the championship trophy. The winner's prize money was $125,000 (approximately 150 million KRW).

The tournament was conducted using a modified Stableford scoring system. Points were awarded based on performance on each hole: albatross 10 points, hole-in-one 8 points, eagle 6 points, birdie 3 points, par 1 point, and scores worse than double bogey deducted 2 points. Curry started with a 3-point lead and recorded 2 eagles, 1 birdie, 10 pars, and 5 bogeys. Having made a hole-in-one on the 7th hole (par 3) in the 2nd round the previous day, Curry was in 2nd place before the final 18th hole but secured a dramatic eagle to edge out former tennis player Mardy Fish (USA) by 2 points.
