According to the fire headquarters in Daejeon on the 14th, from 5 p.m. the previous day to 6 a.m. on the day, the fire authorities received continuous reports of damage such as flooding of detached houses and fallen street trees.

The accumulated rainfall by region from midnight the previous day to 5 a.m. on the day was recorded as 141.5 mm in Seonggeo, Cheonan; 132.4 mm in Seosan; 129.5 mm in Taean; and 122.9 mm in Buyeo.
Rain is forecast to continue in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam until the 15th, so caution is required regarding rain damage. The Daejeon Regional Meteorological Administration expects rainfall ranging from a minimum of 80 mm to a maximum of 200 mm until the 15th.

A representative from the Daejeon Meteorological Administration said, “Rain falling in valleys and upstream of rivers flows downstream, causing water levels to rise rapidly,” and added, “We advise refraining from outdoor activities in upstream river areas and to be cautious of flooding in low-lying areas and river overflows.”
