Promotion of Attracting Leading Logistics and Manufacturing Companies
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 14th that it is recruiting companies to move into the remaining sites of the West Backland Complex of Gwangyang Port.
The site for lease this time is one section of the West Backland Complex, approximately 40,000㎡, and the application period is until August 25.
Eligibility requirements include logistics businesses and manufacturing industries with an export ratio of 50% or more of total sales (30% for small and medium enterprises, 40% for mid-sized enterprises), and foreign-invested companies under the Foreign Investment Promotion Act are also eligible.
Companies moving in through the recruitment announcement can receive various tax benefits along with a low rent of 145 KRW/㎡·month for up to 50 years.
The deadline for submitting business plans is 3 PM on Friday, August 25, and after the first document screening and the second business plan evaluation, the negotiation candidates will be announced on the Authority’s website on Friday, September 1.
A YGPA official said, "Many companies have expressed interest in the West Backland Complex, so the competition for this recruitment is expected to be fierce. We will attract the optimal companies that can generate significant cargo volume to enhance the global competitiveness of Yeosu Gwangyang Port and faithfully fulfill its role as a national industrial support port."
