Combining Eunpyeong-gu’s Diverse Cultural Resources with MBC’s Technological Expertise to Revitalize Local Culture
Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 11th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MBC (CEO Ahn Hyung-joon) for the ‘Activation of Media Content Industry and Development of Local Culture and Economy.’
This MOU aims for both organizations to contribute to local culture by integrating their respective strengths and resources.
The main focus is on collaboration to combine Eunpyeong-gu’s cultural resources with MBC’s technological capabilities by establishing an ‘Extended Reality Studio (XR Studio)’ and jointly planning the ‘Jingwan Forum.’
The specific agreement includes ▲establishment of an advanced video production facility, the XR Studio ▲joint hosting of the ‘Jingwan Forum’ that embodies the unique value of Korean culture ▲activation of Bulgwangcheon Broadcasting Culture Street and local education related to the media industry ▲training of broadcasting professionals ▲content production for local cultural revitalization ▲support for media publicity, among others.
