Lee Wanshin, CEO of Lotte Hotel Group HQ and CEO of Lotte Hotel, tendered his resignation on the 12th.
According to industry sources, Lee submitted his resignation in the morning due to personal reasons. Lotte Group stated, "Lee's resignation was accepted in the afternoon of the same day," adding, "We understand that after much deliberation over health issues and the need for long-term treatment, he ultimately decided to resign." A successor for Lee has not yet been appointed. With Lotte Group's VCM (Value Creation Meeting, formerly the Presidents' Meeting) scheduled for the 18th, internal attention is focused on the appointment of the next CEO.

Born in 1960, Lee graduated from Korea University with a degree in Chinese Language and Literature, earned a master's degree in Business Administration from Yonsei University, and obtained a doctorate in Venture Management from Konkuk University. He joined Lotte Department Store in 2000, serving as a regional store manager before becoming the head of the main store in 2012. After serving as CEO of Lotte Homeshopping in 2017, he has been the overall head of the hotel group since December last year.
