Water Play Available at Legoland... "How About a Family Vacation at the Theme Park?"
Opening of Complex Attraction 'Watermaze'
Featuring Large Pool, Water Show, and Food Options
Nighttime Opening and Season Pass Introduced... "Transforming into a Complex Cultural Space"
As the peak of the hot summer approaches, the most preferred summer getaway item for family travelers is water play. If a resort offers not only attractions (rides) and various events but also a refreshing water playground, it would be an ideal vacation destination. Legoland Korea, located in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, is evolving into a complex theme park where all these experiences are possible. It dreams of becoming a local attraction that parents and children can enjoy together.

Escape the Heat with Water Play and Water Parties
Legoland’s new complex attraction, 'Water Maze,' which opened on the 14th, is the first result of new investments aimed at expanding visitors’ entertainment options. This water play facility is located on a 9,090㎡ (approximately 2,750 pyeong) remaining site between Lego City and Lego Pirates. It is a space where visitors can enjoy water play in a large pool while experiencing water shows, diverse food options, and game events.
The large water playground is divided into the 'Maze Pool' and the 'Mini Pool.' Reservations are accepted for Legoland visitors. Theme park guests can make reservations on-site through a QR code provided after entering the park.
On weekends, quiz events are held at the main performance stage inside Water Maze, and the main show, 'Just Wave,' features exciting music where visitors can dance and play while getting splashed with water. During Legoland’s night openings every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening, visitors can also enjoy the 'Summer Night Water Party.' From 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, this family-friendly DJ party concept will offer a wide range of music genres that appeal not only to children but also to parents and general adult customers. Visitors who have entered the park can watch without purchasing a separate ticket.
Lee Soon-kyu, CEO of Legoland Korea, said, "We hope customers will beat the heat refreshingly through the new Water Maze attraction," adding, "We plan to offer various content tailored to summer and winter seasons going forward."
Legoland Hotel is also launching a package to commemorate the opening of Water Maze. From July 14 to September 2, guests can enjoy water play while staying one night in a themed hotel room during this period.
A Successful First Year... "Expanding Investment Over 5 Years"
Legoland opened in May last year as the 10th global Legoland park worldwide and the first to land in Korea. The cumulative number of visitors over one year exceeded 1 million, more than three times the population of Chuncheon City (approximately 280,000). About 5,000 foreign tourists visited last year, and around 30,000 student group visitors came.
This year, the park aims for over 20,000 foreign visitors and more than 50,000 student group visitors. To increase the number of visitors, Legoland has started night openings this year in addition to the water playground and introduced season passes. Night openings extend operating hours until 9 PM every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays from late April to October. Among the 10 global Legoland parks, Korea is the first to operate night openings. The season pass is a limited-time unlimited access ticket. It operates with differentiated themes such as Spring Park, Summer Festival, Monster Party, and Merry Bricksmas, allowing visitors to enter freely during specific seasons.

Legoland plans to continue investing approximately 100 billion KRW over five years until 2027, covering both the theme park and hotel, to provide new experiences for domestic visitors. The goal is to dispel concerns about financial soundness raised last year and transform into a complex space that expands rides, accommodations, and viewing facilities to offer unforgettable memories for family customers. CEO Lee said, "Legoland will be a friend and partner that stays with Korea for a long time," and pledged, "We will strive to become a landmark of Chuncheon through regional coexistence."
