A foreigner who hit a cyclist while driving a friend's car without a license and fled the scene has surrendered to the police.
The Gwangju Seobu Police Station announced on the 12th that they have booked A (34), a Chinese national, without detention on charges of hit-and-run causing injury under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling for driving without a license and fleeing the scene.
A is accused of hitting B, a man in his 20s riding a bicycle, while driving a friend's passenger car home around 12:10 a.m. on a road in Deokheung-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and fleeing the scene.
B sustained minor injuries from the accident and received treatment at a hospital.
